Broad PeakBroad Peak, locally known as Falchan Kangri is the 12th highest peak with its height 8047m.

It is regarded to be the easiest mountain in Pakistan among 8000m peaks.  Most of the climbers use Broad peak as acclimating mountain for K2 because the way from Broad peak base camp to K2 base camp is just around 1 and half hours.

The first ascent of Broad Peak was made on June 9, 1957 by an Austrian team lead by Marcus Schmuck and his team including Fritz Wintersteller, Kurt Diemberger, and Hermann Buhl.Te team mad the summit of Broad peak without use of Oxygen.

Facts: It is considered as one of the easiest among 8000m but it sometimes give big surprises by avalanche. It is straight forward climb. Rocky sections close to false summit creates troubles in reaching the summit.
