Everest Summiteer Jeetendra's Nationwide Awareness Campaign to Clean Mt. Everest

Everest summiteer Jeetendra Regmi has successfully completed a nationwide awareness campaign focused on keeping Mount Everest clean and pollution-free. To promote the importance of preserving Everest’s natural beauty, he recently toured all seven provinces of Nepal.

The closing ceremony of the campaign was held on Saturday at Gokarna House Restaurant, Pakanajol, Kathmandu. Regmi had successfully summited Everest last year. He shared that during his stay in Canada, many people expressed curiosity about Everest, which ultimately inspired him to climb the world’s highest peak.

During the event, legendary climber Phurba Tenjing Sherpa, who has summited Everest 17 times, and Pemba Sherpa, the first Everest summiteer with a Kidney transplant, were honored for their contributions.

At the same event, a cash donation of NPR 41,000 was handed over to Rolwaling Sangag Choling Monastery School in Dolakha through climber Phurba Tenjing Sherpa, his mentor and Sherpa climbing guide.
