Nima Gyalzen Sherpa is the first mountaineer from Rolwaling, Dolakha to have climbed all 14 8000er. He is known for setting a world record of climbing all 8000m mountains situated in Pakistan in merely 42 days. Sherpa has already two sibling records in the Guinness book of world records. He is well known as one of the skilled climbers who has rescued and saved many lives in the mountains.
In addition, he was also the Goodwill Ambassador of Nepal Visit Year 2011.
So far, he has climbed Mt. Everest 9 times, Manaslu (Pseudo Summit) 7 times, Lhotse and Makalu thrice each, Choyu and Annapurna twice each, and K2, Kanchenjunga, Dhaulagiri, Nanga Parbat, G1, G2, Broad Peak and Sisapangma once each. He is also the first climber to climb Mt. Linkuchuli 2 (6659m) located in Dolakha.
